Roy & Kelsey

Roy

“Be still,” Kelsey says impatiently, lifting her paintbrush.

“This is weird as fuck,” I mutter.

“Are you kidding? I could get thousands of bucks for this painting on eBay.” She smiles over her canvas before returning to her painting.

I swipe my nose and she gives me a stern look. “Be still!”

I lift my hands in the air. “Okay, okay!” I realize I’ve moved again. I bust out in a laugh.

Groaning, she places her paintbrush down and smiles as she walks around the canvas. “You’re a terrible person to paint.” She steps between my legs, lacing her arms around my neck.

“I’m doing this for you.”

“I know.” She sighs.

I push her back a little and stand, looking down into her warm green eyes. Lifting my hand, I pull at a strand of hair with white paint on it, hooking my other arm around her thin waist. “I have big plans for you today.”

“Yeah?” She grins.

“Huge,” I murmur, lowering my head and kissing the crook of her neck. I feel goosebumps crawl on her skin and I smile. Still got it.

“What are they?”

“If I tell you it’ll ruin everything.”

“Oh God,” she groans, leaning back to meet my eyes again. “Please don’t tell me you went overboard.”

I fight a mischievous smile. “Maybe a little.”

“Roy,” she whines, “I told you nothing big. Something simple is fine.”

“You deserve more than ‘something simple’. Now, go upstairs and take a shower so you can get ready for your two and a half hours at the spa.” I slide my hand down her forearm, easing my fingers between hers once I reach her hand. Her eyes spark, and she immediately pulls away, rushing towards the staircase.

I chuckle as I hear the bedroom door shut behind her a few seconds later. Today is a day of love. I was capable of it once before, but with Kelsey, this love is infinite. She brings out the best in me. She makes me smile, which is kind of rare. I’m opening up again, blooming like a flower and that’s all courtesy of her. She deserves the very best and I mean that.
